AD/HD Coaching is one process that teaches executive functioning and study skills to adults and children dealing with AD/HD. So often we read articles that propose teaching of such skills versus taking medication. I see no need to choose one potential solution over another or create absolute or one-size-fits-all solutions. As a coach, I am here to help each person and family find the combinations of tools and interventions that are most useful in supporting them to reach their particular goals. Here is a brief and interesting article from Scientific American which discusses the use of medications as well as behavioral approaches to dealing with AD/HD, alone and in combination.
