This is a brilliant and inspiring talk about what goes on in the developing adolescent brain, specifically the pre-frontal cortex. It is important to keep in mind that the executive functions spoken of here challenge those with AD/HD and also take place within the pre-frontal cortex. The great news is that, as stated here, all of this is highly sensitive to environment. A large part of environment is our relationships. This is why and how relationships with parents, teachers, coaches and other significant people in our lives have much positive impact on how we function and feel about ourselves.
